In memory of Shahriar, a dear friend who passed away, his friends and loved ones decided to create a simple memorial in his garden — a space that would keep his presence alive through design and memory. For this heartfelt project, Saye Architecture Office was commissioned to translate shared memories and deep human connections into architecture.

The design process was guided by emotion and remembrance. Every element — from the choice of plants to the layout of the garden — was inspired by Shahriar’s personal tastes and the atmosphere he cherished. The architectural form is intentionally symbolic and poetic, expressing both absence and continuity. Light was treated as a material in itself, gently defining the space and evoking a sense of calm reflection.

Inside, the space offers a place for gathering and conversation — where friends can come together from time to time to remember him. The use of lightweight, mixed materials and the interplay of nature and structure create a tranquil environment that celebrates friendship, memory, and the enduring beauty of human connection.
